The District Planning and Development Board Tuensang on Wednesday recommended the renovation of Sao Chang College Tuensang, addressing certain infrastructure development needs, including a Science Laboratory on campus. This initiative aims to support the successful implementation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 at the college, DIPR said.

This was discussed during the DPDB Meeting cum Advent Christmas program at Thangki, Noksen Sub Division, under the Chairmanship of Imtichuba, MLA, and Chairman DPDB Tuensang.

The Board also endorsed the proposal for the upgrading of the Sub Town Council at Noksen Town, with the recommendation forwarded to SDO(C) Noksen. The House forwarded a proposal to the concerned department for the creation of an Agriculture and Land Resources office at Noksen Town.

The Tuensang DPDB further recommended the electrification of Mokden Farm at Longra Village to enhance agricultural activities in the region. The Board recommended the construction of an iron suspension bridge to connect Lithem and Longkong Village.

The Advent Christmas program was chaired by Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, Deputy Commissioner Tuensang. Christmas greetings were extended by Imtichuba, MLA, and Chairman DPDB, and Y Lima Onen Chang, MLA. Christmas messages were delivered by Rev Achu Chang, Executive Secretary, Chang Baptist Lashong Thangyen (CBLT), Tuensang.
