Tungu, Enieo, Kinghen Union condemns murder of its member

The Tungu, Enieo, Kinghen (TEK) Union (HQ Wokha, Nagaland), on Tuesday, condemned the murder of one of its member in Wokha. It expressed shocked over the atrocious incident that occur on October 27 at Foot Hill Merapani, under Wokha District, Nagaland wherein Late T. Mhonshan Kinghen a bona fide member of the TEK was mercilessly murdered by unknown miscreants.

“We strongly condemn this inhuman act of violence and this heinous crime must be awarded a befitting punishment to the culprits involved as per law of the land,” stated the Union.

On the afternoon of October 27, the body of Late T. Mhonshan Kinghen who was earlier unidentified was found on Wokha Merapani Road, approximately two kilometers from Bhandari town towards Merapani. A truck driver reportedly discovered the body while taking a break and promptly alerted the Bhandari Police Station.

“TEK Union stands in solidarity with the bereaved family in this critical time of sorrow and pain and will extend unflinching support in their pursuit for justice,” stated the Union.

It also appealed to the concerned authority to deliver justice to the bereaved family members at the earliest. The TEK Union further conveyed its deepest condolences to the bereaved family members and prayed that the departed soul may rest in eternal peace.
