In a concerted effort to cover the left‑out population of Nagaland and improve Aadhaar enrolment coverage, the UIDAI Regional Office, Guwahati, in coordination with the District Administration, Wokha, has launched a Special Aadhaar Vahan Drive in Wokha district. The initiative specifically targets districts with comparatively low enrolment percentages to ensure that the balance population is reached.

Through this campaign, the Aadhaar Vahan would travel across Wokha district, providing convenient access to Aadhaar enrolment facilities for all age groups. The drive is designed to extend services to residents of remote and far‑flung areas, enabling them to avail Aadhaar enrolment closer to their homes.

Officials have encouraged residents to take full advantage of this initiative, which will soon be extended to other low‑saturation districts of Nagaland. Guardians and students have been reminded to complete the Mandatory Biometric Update (MBU) at the ages of 5 and 15 years.

Authorities also cautioned that failure to update biometric data between the ages of 5–7 years and 15–17 years may result in deactivation of Aadhaar numbers as per existing rules. Updated biometrics are essential for seamless usage of Aadhaar in services such as school admissions, entrance examinations, scholarships, DBT schemes, APPAR ID, and other Aadhaar‑based authentication processes.
