The White House expressed confidence in the strengthened bond between the United States and India, as it highlighted the success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s historic Official State Visit to the US nearly a month ago.
During a recent daily news conference, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre lauded the significance of Prime Minister Modi’s visit, characterizing it as “extremely successful and important.” The visit resulted in a series of key deliverables, some of which are already in the process of being implemented, cementing the relationship between the two nations.
“We have remained very optimistic as it relates to our long-term future and relationship with India. And we believe that’s going to continue,” Jean-Pierre said, emphasizing the enduring nature of the bilateral ties.
In response to a question about the I2U2, a new partnership comprising the United States, India, Israel, and the UAE, Jean-Pierre acknowledged that the alliance has already begun to deepen relationships among the four countries. Existing projects and initiatives serve as tangible evidence of the cooperation and potential of this strategic alliance.
“While there is still a strong future with I2U2, we’re really excited about the prospects of that future and just don’t have anything more to share beyond that,” Jean-Pierre added, hinting at the positive outlook for further collaborations between the member countries and potential partners.
The successful outcome of Prime Minister Modi’s visit and the burgeoning I2U2 alliance underscore the growing synergy between the United States and India, setting the stage for enhanced diplomatic, economic, and strategic cooperation in the years ahead.
