District Administration, Chumoukedima held a high-level committee meeting on September 2 to review preparations for the ongoing Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027 Quiz and to mobilise greater participation among youth in the district. The meeting was chaired by SDO (Civil), Chumoukedima, Shreyansee Jain.
The committee informed that the online quiz would serve as the mandatory Stage-I entry point for the VBYLD 2027 selection process. Local youth who performed well in the quiz would progress through subsequent stages, including essay submissions and state-level presentations before domain experts, with opportunities to represent the district at the national level.
District Youth Officer, K Manikanta, stated that the selection process was a multi-tiered talent search aimed at identifying young people with ideas and perspectives for a developed India. He informed that the national winners would participate as delegates at the main event of the VBYLD on January 12, 2027, as part of the National Youth Festival in New Delhi, where they would have the opportunity to present their ideas and policy innovations on “Viksit Bharat @2047” before the Prime Minister of India.
The meeting highlighted that the online quiz comprised 20 multiple-choice questions to be completed within 600 seconds, focusing on India’s growth, development and vision. Youth in the age group of 15 to 29 years were informed that registration for the event was to be done exclusively through the official MY Bharat Portal and application.

K Manikanta also briefed the committee on various features of the MY Bharat ecosystem, including the automatic CV Builder, domain-based mentorship and linkages with the PM Internship Scheme. He further informed that registered youth could access 60-Hour Experiential Learning Programmes with various government organisations and departments, providing opportunities to gain practical exposure to field-level operations.
The committee resolved to establish helpdesks in colleges to facilitate profile creation and registration and to assist youth in accessing the various opportunities available through the MY Bharat platform.
Members of the mobilisation committee, including Letsol Thakro, NSS PO, Tetso College; Keyipho Longkumer, Assistant Professor, ICFAI University; Medochulhoy Shiuya, Information and Publicity Secretary, CTYO; Visedelie Savino, CTYO; and Kevipele Keyho, President, CTSU, discussed measures to enhance participation in the district.
The District Administration directed colleges, higher secondary schools and youth organisations to conduct awareness and mobilisation activities to encourage maximum participation of eligible youth in the quiz and the subsequent stages of the VBYLD 2027 selection process.
