Jamir acknowledged the challenge of unemployment in the state, emphasizing the predominant role of the agricultural sector and the absence of industries.
Addressing the issue, The Minister pointed out that approximately 8% of educated youths in Nagaland face unemployment, terming it a significant loss after years of study. Stressing the importance of education, he noted that proficiency in English opens doors to numerous opportunities but underscored the importance of preserving one’s identity through the Naga language and dialects.
Jamir urged students to take coaching seriously, emphasizing the need to develop skills and not limiting aspirations to government jobs. He encouraged them to view themselves as owners of their skills, fostering a spirit of entrepreneurship for a brighter future.
