Wipro Earthian Nagaland Chapter held its teacher orientation program on March 13, at the Office of the District Education Officer cum Deputy Inspector of Schools Kohima Nagaland, introducing educators to its acclaimed Sustainability Program.
The orientation brought together 39 dedicated teachers from 21 government schools Urban and Rural, marking a pivotal moment as the Nagaland chapter enters its third year with an ambitious vision to expand its reach to even more schools across the region.
The comprehensive session served as an introduction to the core objectives of the Wipro Earthian Sustainability Program for School and College- a flagship initiative designed to empower educators and students with real-world insights in sustainability. Through interactive workshops, group discussions and hands-on learning activities, participants delved into critical topics such as waste management, water conservation, and biodiversity protection. “The program underscores the importance of environmental stewardship, equipping teachers to inspire future generations with practical, action-based learning,” stated a press release.

Sustainability Educator Imcharenla Aier during her session stated that “By integrating environmental awareness into everyday teaching, we are not only enriching classroom experiences but also nurturing a generation that is prepared to tackle the pressing challenges of climate change and resource scarcity.”
The orientation emphasized the significance of sustainability in education as a catalyst for long-term environmental change. Teachers engaged in discussions on innovative curricular strategies and practical applications, ensuring that sustainability becomes an integral part of student learning.
“As the Wipro Earthian Nagaland chapter embarks on its third year, it aims to further expand its network, bringing its transformative sustainability education model to additional schools.
