The Yimyu Unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has initiated maintenance work on the Nagachari Road, also known as NI Jamir School Road, starting December 17. The road, which connects Yimyu ward residents from the Indian Oil Petrol Pump, had been in a deplorable condition, causing inconvenience to the community.
The maintenance work Is being undertaken with funds from the Local Area Development Programme (LADP), supplemented by contributions from well-wishers and residents of Yimyu ward. The initiative is overseen by the Unit members, with a total of 12 laborers engaged in the effort.

The project is expected to take about a week to complete, during which a roadblock has been put in place. Commuters are being advised to take the alternative Church Road for diversion.
Nagachari Road serves as a vital link for the residents of Yimyu ward, and its poor condition had been a major concern for daily commuters. The ongoing maintenance is a collaborative effort between the Yimyu Unit BJP and the local residents, aimed at improving essential infrastructure in the area.
