The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Yingli Government College, Longleng, organised an awareness program on “Career in Sports” today at the Borgohain Hall in the College.

The resource person of the event was Metba K Phom, Coach at the Sania Mirza Tennis Academy (SMTA), Dubai. In his speech, Phom narrated how he was introduced to Tennis and his journey as a Tennis Coach. He also spoke on the hardships and challenges he underwent in order to pursue his goal.

Further, Phom encouraged the students to follow their passion and not give in to obstacles created by conventional society. He advised the students to adopt the values of commitment, discipline, consistency, patience and to believe in oneself.
