Zisaji Presidency College hosted its 27th Freshers’ Day at the College Auditorium on Saturday with Colonel Vikee Lamoria, Commanding Officer, 41 AR Bn. Kiphire as the Special Guest.

Dr. Purna Chandra Mishra, Vice Principal of the college welcomed and congratulated the Freshers’ as they start their journey through college. Mishra encouraged the students to be good examples to one another in all walks of life; to be a kindred spirit, diligent student and most of all, to possess strong moral ethics.

Speaking on behalf of the freshers, Munguli stated that although, they have all come from diverse backgrounds, they share a common goal, “to learn, grow and evolve.” He expressed the enthusiasm to make the best use of opportunity and soak up the knowledge and values that the institution has to offer.

He also acknowledged the pivotal role that teachers play in the lives of students “which will ultimately transform us into a refined intellect men and women in the society tomorrow.”

The Fresher also addressed the seniors revering them as mentors and role models in guiding them and further learning from their experiences and following in their footsteps to contribute even more to the legacy of the college.

Munguli encouraged his batch mates to have broader mindsets. “Together we can achieve greatness and bring justice to our motto, ‘Dedication for Advancement’ and make a positive impact in our community and beyond”, he said.

Mr. & Ms. Freshers’ competition was also held at the program, whereby, Robert and Danglila Thonger were crowned as Mr. & Ms. Zisaji Presidency Freshers’ 2024.
