The 101th Lotha Baptist Churches Association (LBCA) office bearers & executive members conference today culminated at Wokha Town Baptist Church. The three day event came to an end with induction of new office bearers and executive members to the LBCA for the tenure 2025-2026 with its new president Rev. Dr. L.L Kikon, Mekokla Baptist Church; Mhachan Odyuo, Changpang Village Baptist Church, vice president; Samuel Ovung, Wokha Town Baptist Church, General Secretary; Yanpvuo Shitiri, Kukidolong Baptist Church, Assistant General Secretary and Sholumo Ngullie, Meriyan Baptist Church; Y. Chumbenthung Murry, Wokha Town Baptist Church; Lichilo Lotha, Totsu Baptist Fellowship; Prof. Y. Ben Lotha, N.U Kohima Campus, Meriema; Dr. S. Ekonthung Ezung, Associate Professor, Eastern Theological College, Jorhat Assam as the executive members.
Professor Y. Ben Lotha, Department of History and Archaeology, Nagaland University Kohima Campus, Meriema while delivering greetings during the event, challenged the congregation to foster unity, where he expressed that where there is unity there is progress that encompass personal development and community progress. According to Lotha, without unity, it affects the social, economic and even the progress of the ‘Churches, the kingdom of God’.
He mentioned the lack of patience and consideration that destroy the character development of the community, where he urged the congregation to be a good listener rather than a talker, and respectful to their leaders. He also spoke on research and fact findings in leading the community, where he urged the congregation to pursue in producing more dedicated education and academicians giving due importance to their literature. He lamented that Lothas are declining in producing academics, where he informed the students to rededicate in their studies giving due importance in all standards of academics, expressing that every standard of exams is important to become a qualified professor in the present generation. He also spoke on cultural identity emphasizing that language as the prime identity of a community. While encouraging the intellectuals to write and produce more scripts and writings in Lotha literature helping the language to keep alive and promote higher education and recognition in academic purposes.

Speaker of the event Rev. L.L Kikon delivered a message on the theme Psalm 37:5, where he urged the congregation of the church to be committed and rededicate their lives to God. He reminded the believers to humble themselves and committed to serve God for all their lives, while he urge them all to uphold the target and resolution of years 2025 taken during the service as, ‘rededicate, pursue for reconstruction of LBCA in coming together in unity,’ while he wished them a joyous Christmas and a prosperous new year.
Earlier during the service, Kikon spoke on behalf of the new team of LBCA office bearers and executive members and sought payers and support. The dedication of the new team of LBCA office bearers 2025-2026 was ministered by Rev. Woben Erui, Ex. Pastor 7th NAP Baptist Church.
The valedictory programme was conducted at the devotional service, with invocation prayer by Yanpvuo Shitiri, Pastor Kukidolong LBC and benediction prayer pronounced by Benathung Humtsoe, Pastor Old Tssori Baptist Church.
