11th Battalion Assam Rifles organises essay competition on ‘Unity in Diversity’ in Zunheboto

Zunheboto: AR announces plans to circulate information about various exams and opportunities to help reduce educated unemployment

An engaging essay competition on the theme of “Unity in Diversity” was organized by the 11th Battalion Assam Rifles on 2nd Noveerbr 2024 at Zunheboto, under the leadership of Assistant Commandant N.S. Meitei. The event attracted enthusiastic participation from students highlighting the importance of harmony and inclusivity in Indian society.

During the event, N.S. Meitei, Assistant Commandant emphasized the need for equality and mutual respect, stating that these principles are crucial for fostering unity and integrity among individuals from different caste, creed, and race.

Meitei encouraged youth to consider joining the Indian Army, outlining plans for training camps aimed at preparing youth for a career in the armed forces. These camps will offer written exam coaching, physical training, and educational to aspiring candidates.

He articulated that serving in the Indian Armed Forces embodies the essence of national identity, transcending barriers of colour, religion, caste, or race. “Our prime objective is to defend the nation and promote peace and prosperity,” he said.

Concluding the event, the Assistant Commandant inspired the participants with a slogan: “From many colours, one bright light; together we shine, together we’re right.” He also urged youth to focus on their future prospects rather than solely on agricultural endeavours, emphasizing the importance of education and career development.

In a commitment to the local community, Meitei announced plans to circulate information about various exams and opportunities to help reduce educated unemployment under Zunheboto district. He reassured attendees that the Assam Rifles are there to support and protect them, welcoming any inquiries related to education, sports, and medical assistance.
