8 DCC presidents from Nagaland attend All India District Congress Committee meeting in New Delhi

Eight District Congress Committee (DCC) presidents from Nagaland represented the state at the All India District Congress Committee Presidents’ Meeting, convened by the AICC, on 27th March, 2025, at Indira Bhawan, New Delhi.

In a press release, the Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) informed that Kutoho Chishi, President, Dimapur DCC addressed the crucial pan India grassroot party workers convention. In his speech, he underscored the critical agendas required to fortify the Congress party’s grassroots presence and its efforts at tackling pressing socio-economic challenges of the times. Chishi also emphasized the need for enhanced training and resource allocation to empower booth-level agents, ensuring robust electoral preparedness.

Further, he advocated for inclusive policies to engage young leaders and women in decision-making roles, fostering a dynamic and equitably balanced party structure and hierarchy. Highlighting the urgency for the promotion of skill development and job creation initiatives to alleviate the scourge of unemployment plaguing the nation today, Chishi urged the party leadership to prioritize it in its national agenda.

The meeting concluded with a unanimous resolution to implement actionable plans discussed, ensuring closer coordination between state units and the central leadership, the press release stated.
