Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Ajit Kumar Verma, IAS, has issued a public notification regarding a proposal to rename Ao-Settsü village to Settsü village.

The proposal, initiated by the Village Council, pertains to the village situated under the administrative jurisdiction of the Extra Assistant Commissioner (EAC), Ongpangkong Circle under Mokokchung District.

According to the official notification issued on February 26, any individual or group with objections to this change of nomenclature is required to submit them in writing to the Deputy Commissioner’s office, Mokokchung. All claims must be lodged within 30 days from the date of the notification’s issue.

The DC further clarified that if no objections are received within the stipulated 30 days period, the matter will be treated as having ‘No Objection’ and will be subsequently forwarded to the Government for final approval and necessary action.
