National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NEILIT) and the Nagaland Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM) are organizing a Mega Job Fair 2026 on March 21 at the IBH&I Centre, IDAN, Forest Colony Dimapur.

Addressing a press conference, Under Secretary and Project Manager (Incharge) of NSEDM, I Changsang shared that as part of a broader vision to generate employment and align skilled youth with industry needs, a state-wide Mega Job Fair has been introduced. This initiative serves as a dedicated platform to bring employers and job seekers together. The fair is expected to offer job opportunities across various sectors, including both domestic and international placements.

Also present at the conference were Meripeni, Under Secretary and Project Lead; NEILIT, Technical Officer; and Moasunep Kichu, Placement Officer. They announced that the job fair will take place on March 21 at 9:30 a.m. at the IBH&I Centre, IDAN, Forest Colony. A total of 33 employers will participate, representing three categories: local employers based in Nagaland, domestic employers operating across India, and international recruiters offering opportunities abroad.

The officials assured that all international recruiters are licensed by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, ensuring credibility, transparency, and the safety of candidates seeking overseas employment.

They further informed that 6,114 vacancies are available, but so far only 311 candidates have registered. This significant gap highlights the urgent need for greater participation, especially among students and fresh graduates across the state.

The application process, they emphasized, is transparent and candidate-friendly. Each applicant can apply for up to three job openings of their choice. Complete job listings include details such as the number of vacancies, salary or Cost to Company (CTC), experience requirements, and eligibility criteria, allowing candidates to make well-informed career decisions.

NSEDM has also launched a dedicated online portal for candidate registration. They strongly encouraged pre-registration to ensure smooth coordination, efficient scheduling, and better matching of candidates with employers.

To help candidates prepare, NSEDM is planning grooming sessions in both physical and online formats. These sessions will focus on resume building, interview etiquette, communication skills, confidence building, and sector-specific guidance.

The Nagaland Skill & Entrepreneurship Development Mission (NSEDM) is a flagship initiative of the Government of Nagaland, launched under the Chief Minister’s directive on May 29, 2025. The program aims to tackle unemployment in the state by strengthening skill development, enhancing employability, and creating sustainable wage and self-employment opportunities for the youth of Nagaland.

The officers also noted that there is no registration fee for the event, which is expected to be held annually. They urged both parents and youth to actively participate in the job fair.
