The Department of Economics, Sao Chang College, Tuensang, observed World Consumer Rights day on March 18 at Tuensang Village Baptist Church.
The programme was conducted under the theme “Safe products, confident consumers”. During the event, an insightful speech was delivered by Mosha, Assistant professor, Department of Economics, who highlighted the significance of consumer protection. He also elaborated on various consumer rights including the right to safety, the rights to information, the right to choose, the right to be heard, the right to seek redressal and right to consumer education.

The programme witnessed the active participation of 6th semester students from the Department of Economics, along with the youth members of the church. The event proved to be highly informative and educational, fostering awareness among participants and encouraged the youth to be responsible and the consumer rights, said Noangchemden, Assistant Professor.
The event concluded with a word of prayer from the Youth Pastor of Tuensang village Baptist Church.
