The Department of Power, Zunheboto, has informed the public that smart payment meters would soon be installed for all domestic consumers in the district.

A notification issued by the Department stated that the installation process for domestic households would begin after the completion of smart meter installations in government offices, industries, and commercial establishments. It is being carried out in pursuance of Government of India Gazette notifications and directives from the Department of Power.

The public has been directed to cooperate with officials during the installation process, and warned that any obstruction or disturbance caused by individuals or groups during the exercise may invite penalties under relevant sections of the law.

Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto stated that the circular is issued for information and strict compliance of all concerned.
