The Second Inter School Cricket Tournament concluded on May 1 at Public Ground, Kiphire marking a day of enthusiasm, discipline, and young sporting spirit.
The programme began with an exhibition match between the officials of the Kiphire District Cricket Association and its Under-19 team.
The officials secured a win, setting the tone for the day.
In the final match, Government Higher Secondary School, Kiphire put up a strong total of 163 runs before being all out.
Cambridge High School, despite a determined effort, scored 100 runs for the loss of 9 wickets. Government Higher Secondary School emerged as the champion, while Cambridge High School finished as the runner up.
The tournament was organized by the Kiphire District Cricket Association under the aegis of the Nagaland Cricket Association, with the aim of identifying and nurturing young cricketing talent in the district.

Certificates were presented to the winners by Longtili C Sangtam, official umpire of the association.
Rothrongse Sangtam, Joint Secretary of the Kiphire District Cricket Association thanked all stakeholders for their cooperation and support. He encouraged schools and students to actively participate in such tournaments and make the most of the opportunities provided.
He further stated that the association would continue to organize similar events in the future to help players grow and represent the district at higher levels.
He also congratulated the winners and appreciated the efforts of all participants, stating that the tournament served as a valuable platform for learning and development.
