Riphyim village under Wokha district, the native village of Deputy Chief Minister, Y Patton hosted the combined District Prashikshan Mahabhiyan for Wokha, Phek and Kohima districts under the Bharatiya Janata Party Nagaland.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Chief Minister & BLP Leader, Y Patton emphasized the importance of humility, dedication and selfless service in political life. Recalling how Prime Minister Narendra Modi considers himself a simple party worker, he stated that the strength and growth of the party lie in the hands of committed karyakartas.
He urged party workers to “let the work speak,” while stressing that the BJP should not be politicized on religious lines.
Patton also highlighted the Prime Minister’s 77 visits to the Northeast as a reflection of his deep concern, respect and commitment towards the region.
State BJP President, Benjamin Yepthomi remarked that “there is a time for everything, and now is the time for BJP to revive holistically for strengthening and influencing at the grassroots level.” He called upon party workers to remain united and committed towards organizational growth and public service.
Minister P Bashang Chang emphasized the need to reach the grassroots and unreached areas, serve the poor and needy, and uphold the true spirit of BJP karyakartas through humility and dedication. Highlighting the principle of Antyodaya, he urged workers to focus on reaching the last person in society. He further exhorted party workers to remain humble, stating, “Do not praise yourself, but let your deeds be seen by all. Put nation first, party second, and self last.”

MLA & Advisor, Kropol Vitsu emphasized that the strength of the BJP lies in its karyakartas, citing the humble beginnings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as an inspiration. He encouraged workers not to pursue reputation or wealth, but to allow sincerity, hard work and action to earn recognition.
MLA & Advisor, K Konngam Konyak described BJP karyakartas as the true pillars and guardians of the party, encouraging them to let their dedication and sincerity be acknowledged through their work rather than through self-praise.
Former Minister and BJP State Executive Council Member, V Kashiho Sangtam underscored the importance of discipline, dedication and grassroots commitment in strengthening the organisation. He lauded the collective efforts of the party workers and urged them to remain steadfast in advancing the vision and mission of the BJP across Nagaland.
The training programme was attended by party workers from Wokha, Phek and Kohima districts, along with State officials, Wokha Town Councillors and speakers of the training sessions.
