Sumi Region National Workers reaffirm support to NSCN (IM) leadership, Framework Agreement

The Sumi Region National Workers convened a meeting at Zunheboto Town on June 30 to strengthen both the regional and central administration within the NSCN/GPRN (IM).

The meeting was chaired by Deputy Kilo Kilonser of the Sumi Region, Bokato Kinimi.

According to a statement, the gathering unanimously reaffirmed its support for the present collective leadership of the NSCN/GPRN, comprising Yaruiwo Q. Tuccu, Kedallo Tongmath Wangnao, Ato Kilonser Th. Muivah and Deputy Ato Kilonser VS Atem.

The meeting also endorsed the proclamation made by Yaruiwo Q Tuccu at the Hebron Council Headquarters on June 18, stating that the organisation would remain steadfast and would not surrender to the Government of India.

The participants further reiterated their commitment to the Framework Agreement signed between the NSCN/GPRN and the Government of India on August 3, 2015, and resolved to uphold its principles.
