Vehicular movement between Chümoukedima and Jalukie/Peren has been disrupted after incessant rainfall triggered flooding that washed away the temporary bridge on the Jharnapani–Molvom road.

In an advisory issued on Wednesday, the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur announced alternate routes for light motor vehicles while imposing restrictions on heavy vehicles.

For light motor vehicles travelling between Chümoukedima and Jalukie/Peren, commuters have been advised to use the following alternate routes: from 7th Mile Junction, Chümoukedima, to Pimla village via Shokhuvi village; from New Chümoukedima (Iron Structure Bridge) to Gaili village via Ruzaphema village; and from Medziphema to Punglwa village via Sirhi Angami Village and Sochunoma village.
