The Mokokchung District Taekwondo Association (MDTA) felicitated the successful participants who represented the district at the recently held 36th Kyorugi & 1st Poomsae Nagaland State Taekwondo Championship 2026 -cum- Under- 14 Catch Them Young Tournament at Kohima.
Altogether, fourteen participants won one gold, five silver, and eight silver medals in different categories.

During the felicitation programme held on August 11 at the MDTA Treasurer’s residence, the Association
President Supongwati Jamir formally handed the certificate and medals along with a cash incentive to the successful participants. MDTA Executive member, Chubameren, while delivering short message, highly praised the Mokokchung Taekwondo team for successfully representing the district and brining laurels to the Association and Mokokchung.
He further encouraged the young players to aspire for greater success in the days to come and assured that the Association would do its best to promote them in the days to come.
The programme was chaired by the MDTA General Secretary Nukshi I Ozukum.
The Mokokchung Taekwondo team was led by T Alila Imchen and Chubatoshi Aier as the Team Managers and Poshung as the head coach.
