Rio calls for stronger partnerships with corporate and institutional stakeholders at OPIF 2026

The Government of Nagaland has stepped up efforts to strengthen partnerships with corporate and institutional stakeholders to support the state’s development priorities, with the Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland (IDAN), in partnership with CSRBOX, convening a Corporate-Government Roundtable on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the One Purpose India Forum (OPIF) 2026 in New Delhi.

Held at Hotel Pullman, the roundtable brought together government representatives, corporate organisations and development stakeholders to explore opportunities for CSR collaboration and mobilise resources for development initiatives across Nagaland.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Dr. Neiphiu Rio underscored the importance of collaborative partnerships in addressing the state’s development needs. His participation reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to engaging with corporate and institutional partners to develop meaningful CSR initiatives and improve development outcomes.

The session was chaired by Vineet Kumar, IAS, Additional Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, while Abu Metha, Advisor to the Chief Minister and Chairman of IDAN, delivered the opening remarks.

A presentation on IDAN’s CSR initiatives highlighted the Authority’s role in facilitating partnerships among the state government, corporate organisations and development institutions to channel resources towards priority development interventions.

The roundtable also featured experiences and perspectives from partner organisations, including Boeing and Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), alongside representatives associated with the Department of Public Enterprises and the Ministry of Finance. Discussions focused on strengthening corporate engagement, improving institutional coordination and aligning CSR investments with Nagaland’s development priorities.

With around 50 participants in attendance, the roundtable provided a platform for dialogue, knowledge-sharing and the identification of potential areas of collaboration. An open discussion and networking session further enabled participants to explore common interests and avenues for future partnerships.

Through its collaboration with CSRBOX, IDAN aims to deepen engagement with corporate and institutional stakeholders and expand opportunities for CSR-supported development in Nagaland. The initiative reflects the state’s continued efforts to build strategic partnerships that promote inclusive, sustainable and locally relevant development.
