Kiphire District Administration in collaboration with line departments held the Awareness Cum Sensitisation Camp on Chief Minister’s Micro-Finance Initiative (CMMFI) on 13 December at the DC’s conference hall at Kiphire.
Addressing the local entrepreneurs and SHGs, DC Kiphire Wati Aier said the CMMFI scheme – announced a few months ago by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the presence of Chief Minister Nagaland and which is being implemented by AGRI and Allied departments – requires no documents like patta or guarantor and is easier for the beneficiaries to avail the loan.
Aier also said the Heads of Offices of concerned departments have been informed to assist the beneficiaries while applying for the forms.
During the programme, PowerPoint presentations were given by the departments of Fishery, Veterinary, Industry, Agri, NRSLM, and Horticulture, followed by a short interaction.
EAC Kiphire Ane Hhieya said because the scheme is new, more awareness programmes will be organised in the future. She also informed the interested individuals, beneficiaries and entrepreneurs to look up the website for CM microfinance for more information updates on this scheme.
