A meeting of all the nodal officers of different election cells in connection with the ensuing State Assembly Election, 2023, was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Kohima today.

Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Kohima, Shanavas C, IAS, briefed the nodal officers, highlighting the roles and responsibilities of nodal officers of different election cells.

He called upon the officers to be mentally prepared and form their respective teams before the announcement of the election.

The DC also emphasised on the various important sections of the election process and asked the nodal officers to start working with their respective team for the smooth functioning of the election process.

The meeting also had a detailed discussion on the management of manpower, training, material and transports, and other different election cells.
