Happy to retire in good health by the Grace of God: O.T. Chingmak Chang, IAS

Kohima: The outgoing Commissioner & Secretary and Director of S&T said that the department has a greater role to play in the sustainable development of the state

O.T. Chingmak Chang, IAS, Commissioner & Secretary and Director of Science & Technology Department, Government of Nagaland, said in his career as a government servant, he had done his best with a clear conscience and that he was  happy to retire in good health by the Grace of God.

Chang also assured that he will continue to work for the welfare of society in his speech that he delivered at the farewell programme organised in his honour at the Conference Hall of the directorate.

The outgoing Commissioner & Secretary and Director of S&T reminded the officers and staff of the department to remain united, put their minds together and give their best for the welfare of the society. He said the department has a greater role to play in the sustainable development of the state.

Looking at the topography and abundant resources of the state, scientific approach and intervention have a huge role in the materialization of these resources, particularly in agriculture, medicinal plants, and other related areas.

At the programme, Kuko Mero, Joint Secretary to the GoN, Dept. of S&T, Richard Rikhio, Scientific Officer, and Kekuneil Ltu, Scientist B, NASTEC delivered speeches on behalf of the department.
