Deputy Commissioner of Kohima Shanavas C, IAS on Monday informed the general public and churches in Kohima the area starting from Razhü Point junction via Old NST and via D Block till TCP gate would be declared as NO PARKING ZONE on 26 and 27 February 2023 in view of the preparation of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly Election 2023.

The DC added that this measure has been necessitated due to the shifting of the location of Election Duty vehicles from Local Ground to IG Stadium.

The DC stated that since the DC Office Complex Kohima is the designated Dispatch and Receiving Centre of Polling materials and EVM machines, it is estimated that around 800 Polling team vehicles will arrive at DC Office Complex on those two days and there the rule has been initiated for the smooth passage of vehicles carrying polling teams and security personnel.

Poll day in Nagaland will be held on 27 February.
