Former Chief Minister and UDA chairman, T.R Zeliang held a Prayer and Gratitude programme at his residence Rangkau Complex in Peren Town after he was declared the winner in 7 Peren Assembly Constituency for the 8th consecutive time on Thursday.

“This is possible only because of the blessings of God,” he stated.

Zeliang, the NDPP candidate, won by a massive margin of 16,418 votes.

“I assure you that this trust in me will not go in vain,” he said while thanking the people of his constituencies. Zeliang also assured them that he will “expediate all incomplete mission of his dream.”

The veteran politician said that the overwhelming margin encourages him to serve the people. “The welfare of the people of Peren and the Naga Political issue will be my top priority,” he added.

In his address, Zeliang the party leaders of NDPP and BJP and lauded the maturity and understanding between the alliance.

Further he expressed gratitude to the Additional Election Officer Peren, Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer, their teams, all polling and security personnel and the media.

Zeliang thank the voters in the district for turning up to cast their franchise, irrespective of who they voted for.

At the programme, Rev.Haiku Nza, Pastor of Peren Town Baptish Church offered the invocation prayer while Dr. Haizuheing, Pastor of Police Baptish Church delivered the benediction.

Victory is ours, the theme song of TR Zeliang’s campaign for the 14th Nagaland Assembly election, was sung by Matu and Team.
