Kohima: IR Mahila Pipe band motivates NAGC All Girls Pipe Band with performance

The Nagaland Adolescent Girls Club (NAGC) under the aegis of the Nagaland State Social Welfare Board (NSSWB) observed the International Youth Day on Saturday at Secretariat Plaza which is celebrated annually on 12 August to appreciate the value of the youth.

First celebrated on in 2000, the United Nations seeks to bring youth issues to the attention of the international community and celebrating the potential of youth as partners in today’s global society.

Ngimchule, NPS, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Dimapur exhorted the members of Nagaland Adolescent Girls Club on the occasion. She encouraged the girls to think big and never to give up on their dreams. Emphasising on the importance of being a youth and their value to the society Ngimchule told the girls not to be swayed by negativity but to have confidence in themselves and to study hard to achieve their goal.

Earlier in the program, Juliana Medom, Supervisor & Nodal officer for Nagaland Adolescent Girls Club, NSSWB gave the introduction to the day.

Altogether 480 girls were present.

A special performance was given by the IR Mahila Pipe band who also motivated the NAGC All Girls Pipe Band.
