NSCN-K (Niki Sumi) has said that the 8 Naga MLAs of Manipur who signed the representation to the Prime Minister along with 32 Meitei legislators has shamed and tainted the people they represent. It said that the MLAs “have wilfully been blinded and guided by their self-serving individualistic gains”.
Condemning the representation, the group stated that it was a “direct challenge to the very idea of Naga Nation which “all Nagas irrespective of artificially imposed borders are yearning and working towards”.
NSCN-K (Niki Sumi) further asserted that it would take any necessary measures to protect and defend the political aspirations of the Naga People, whenever challenged.
