The Temulunger Telok, a vibrant group of 14 young enthusiasts from Mokokchung, is set to host the eagerly awaited 6th Inter-Ward Beat Contest (Battle of the Bands) on December 22, 2023, at the Town Hall in Mokokchung.

Founded in 2016 with the mission of fostering music and talent in the town, Temulunger Telok has been instrumental in organizing events that showcase the musical prowess of local talents. The Inter-Ward Beat Contest, a flagship initiative by the group, has grown into one of the most prominent musical contests in Mokokchung.

This year’s contest promises to be exceptional, featuring a thrilling concert with performances by Tiameren Aier and Toshi and the band. The Beat Contest, scheduled for the afternoon, will culminate in the evening with the finale coinciding with the concert.

The Inter-Ward Beat Contest primarily focuses on the rock genre, providing a platform for young musicians to explore the intricacies of instruments through its challenging musical landscape. The contest is open to participants from all 18 wards of Mokokchung.

Cash prizes and certificates await the winners, an incentive aimed at encouraging and nurturing the burgeoning musical talents in the town. The Temulunger Telok, in its pursuit of connecting with local, national, and international organizations, seeks investment for the organization of future music-related events.

Tickets for the evening concert are priced at 300 and will be available at the gate, ensuring that music enthusiasts can witness an electrifying performance by the featured artists.

Jonathan Lemtur, Convenor of the Organizing Committee, expressed gratitude and urged individuals and groups passionate about music to participate actively in this musical extravaganza.
