The Nagaland Government has directed all departments to initiate termination proceedings against employees who were appointed on regular basis without sanctioned posts and against supernumerary posts.

Chief Secretary J Alam, IAS stated that this order is in pursuance of the Cabinet decision that the appointment of such employees will be automatically abolished after the retirement of the incumbent.

The Chief Secretary also directed all Departments to furnish their ‘action taken’ report to the Personnel & Administrative Reforms Department (Administrative Reforms Branch) on or before 10th January 2024.
