Joining with the rest of the Christian community across the world, Thenyizumi village in Phek District organized a combined Christmas celebration. All three churches—St. Andrew Church, Thenyizumi; Thenyizumi Christian Revival Church (TCRC); and Thenyizumi Baptist Church (TBC)—converged at the later’s church on December 25.

The combined Christmas event was hosted by K Khwüyi Thisa & Nerhisalü Thisa. Rev Dr. Sülüveyi Rhakho, Coordinator of GlobeServe International in Minneapolis, USA, was the speaker who delivered a message on the ‘Prince of Peace,’ emphasizing that Jesus Christ was born with the purpose of bringing peace to the world and making mankind acceptable in the sight of God.

During the Christmas celebration, Rev Dr. Rhakho called upon believers to reunite with Jesus Christ. He exhorted Christians to rid themselves of wickedness, trust in God for true peace and happiness, and emphasized that following God’s teachings results in a different and fulfilling walk with Him.

Rev Dr. Rhakho also encouraged believers not to be self-centered but to prioritize God and always remember the love of Jesus Christ in any circumstance.
