The Tsungkamnyo cum Mini Hornbill Festival was celebrated at Yimkhiung Heritage Village Mundun, Shamator today, informed the DIPR. The Festival was graced by S. Keoshu Yimkhiung, Advisor, Youth Resources & Sports, as the Special Guest and Host.

On the occasion of Tsungkamnyo, the Yimkhiung Tribal Council awarded the Yimkhiung Outstanding Achievement Award to T. Belenso for being the first Yimkhiung Scientist and being selected as Soil Scientist under India Science Technology and Innovation, Government of India and to Athrong Yimkhiung for representing India in Body building competition.

During the celebration, Throngso, President YTC delivered the welcome address. Speeches were delivered by DC Shamator, Y. Chingyak and R. Tohanba, former MLA. The significance of Tsungkamnyo was highlighted by K. Lakiumong, President YGBA while the Trung Thulunso presented a special item. The programme was chaired by Lakiumong, President YGOA and a cultural item was presented by the Chessore village cultural troupe.
