Despite the inconveniences being faced by them, on Saturday, the citizens of Wokha Town gathered at Police Point to show solidarity with the civil society organisations (CSOs) that have called the bandh. Today marked the third day of the indefinite bandh on National Highway 2 (previously NH 61) and the first day of total bandh in Wokha district.
The citizens also urged the government and concerned authorities to promptly address the demands of the CSOs which includes immediate resumption of work on the road and rectification of the works that are “substandard”.
