DPDB meeting held in Chümoukedima

The District Planning & Development Board for the month of June was convened at the DC’s, Conference Hall, Chümoukedima on June 11, informed a DIPR report. The meeting was chaired by Advisor for Urban Development & Municipal Affairs & DPDB Chairman, Zhaleo Rio along with Vice Chairman, DC, Abhinav Shivam, IAS.

The Chairman acknowledged the administration and respective officers of the district for their co-operation and successfully conducting the Lok Sabha election.  Welcoming the new members, the Chairman emphasized that the DPDB being the highest body of the district and a platform where the members can plan and outline the policies, requested the members to share the details of the activities being taken up in the district by their respective departments.

“Chümoukedima district is one of the fastest growing districts and has the privilege and opportunity for the officers to be serving under this district,” said Rio who encouraged the officers to serve their respective departments with sincerity for the welfare of the people.

After the review of the last meeting minutes, the board discussed and deliberated on the agendas for Relocation of element (World Bank) project Zone -l (covering districts of Chümoukedima, Niuland, Tseiminyu, Kohima, Peren and Phek) office to Chümoukedima Town was approved by the house and will be forwarded to the Government.

Discussions on the opening of new school (Emerald School) at ward-7, Chümoukedima; Registration of Two Wheeler Taxi Association, Chumoukedima, and Registration of V Movi Institute of Fashion Designing Society. Tenyiphe-l were held and deferred to the next meeting after proper verification is done.

The meeting ended with a note of thanks from the DC & Vice Chairman DPDB, Chümoukedima, Abhinav Shivam, IAS.
