Mhonshio Odyuo, aged 71, son of late Akhumo Odyuo of New Riphyim village, was found alive today near Emvütchü River in Wokha District at 9:20 am.

Odyuo was reportedly missing since 22nd June 2024 after he was last seen at Old Riphyim Village from where he is said to have wandered off on his own.

A joint team of the Home Guards, Civil Defence, SDRF, along with local villagers from New and Old Riphyim carried out a widespread search operation for Odyuo.

The intensive search, spanning over three days, concluded with the discovery of Odyuo in the vicinity between Old and New Riphyim.

After his safe recovery, he was handed over to the family members.
