Kiyasetuo Kengurusie, a NDPP candidate who was elected unopposed under the Chiephobozou Town Council from Ward 5, Chiephobozou town was caught today by polling personnel carrying slingshots with mud balls and a walkie talkie around the polling stations in Dimapur. According to official sources, Kengurusie is now under police custody.

Nagaland went to polls today, after 20 years to elect its Urban Local Bodies (ULB) representatives. Eastern Nagaland, however, continued its abstention from participating in the elections as it did in the Lok Sabha elections 2024.
