Man feared drowned in Choklo river in Noklak; family requests help from villages situated close to river

Noklak: Villages in Pang, Thonoknyu, Kiusam, Pungro urged to be on lookout

A 64-year-old man from Chipur Village under Noklak district is suspected to have been washed away by the strong water current at Choklo river. Putsou reportedly failed to return to his village after he left for fishing on the morning of 19th August 2024 (Monday).

Noticing that he had not returned on expected time, the villagers rushed to the river to search for him. The search team reported that only his belongings were found at the site and suspected that he may had been taken by the strong current. The search for Putsou is underway.

The family and the villagers have requested those villages in Pang and Thonoknyu areas that are close to Choklo river to be on a lookout and inform on the number given below if the body is found.

Further, since the Choklo river meets Zunki river, villages in Kiusam area and Pungro which is under Kiphrie district, have also been urgently requested to do the same.
