The 11th Inter-Departmental Tournament of Zunheboto district organised by the District Sports Council, Zunheboto and District Administration, kick started at Zunheboto today.

Deputy Commissioner Zunheboto, Rahul Bhanudas Mali, IAS speaking as the Special Guest at the inaugural programme encouraged all the participants to showcase the finest spirit of sportsmanship. He applauded the efforts of the organizing committee and all the departments of the district for the grand opening of the tournament, and said the tournament is also a rare get together for all government employees. The Deputy Commissioner hoisted the tournament flag and declared open the tournament.

The inaugural programme was chaired by ADC Zunheboto & Tournament Convenor, Keyirangding Hegui, while DSCZ member Zhekugha Assumi delivered the welcome address. DPO & DSCZ member, David Sema administered the oath of the tournament.

The Inter-Departmental Tournament comprises of Badminton, Carrom, Chess and Penalty Shootout with 367 participants from 43 departments.
