The members of Kohima Press Club has expressed shock and sadness to learn about the untimely demise of its former president, KV Nurumi, who passed away at Olive Hospital Dimapur on the morning of May 30 after a brief illness.
KV Nurumi hailed from Aichisaghemi village under Zunheboto district and served as the President of Kohima Press Club from 2010- 2012. Among the journalistic assignments he undertook, Nurumi worked as a Correspondent for Nagaland Post for several years, worked with ANI (Asian News International) and was also an anchor for the DDK Live discussion show titled, “Trends of Nagaland”.

“Toto, as he was fondly called, was a respected journalist and a mentor for many young media entrants. He has unmistakably left a lasting imprint in their lives and in the lives of the Kohima Press Club Family through his leadership and camaraderie,” stated the KPC in a condolence message.
The Club extended sincere condolences to the bereaved family and loved ones. “May God grant strength, peace and comfort to his wife and his two daughters, and all those who mourn the irreparable loss of our former president,” shared KPC.
