Kohima Press Club (KPC), Dimapur Press Club (DPC) and Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee (NPCC) have expressed shock and grief at the untimely demise of Imna Longchar, a correspondent of The Frontier Manipur, who passed away on June 14 at his residence in Dimapur.
In a condolence message, the KPC conveyed heartfelt condolence to the bereaved family and mourned the loss of a fellow journalist, who dedicated his life to the cause of journalism.
The KPC prayed that God will grant peace, strength and comfort to all the loved ones he has left behind and may his soul rest in eternal peace.
The Dimapur Press Club (DPC) has mourned the sudden demise of senior journalist and member of the club, Imna Longchar, who passed away on June 14 in Dimapur.
During his career, Imna was associated with Nagaland Post, Nagaland Today, and, at the time of his passing, The Frontier Manipur, the DPC mentioned adding through his reporting, he gave voice to stories that mattered, often speaking up for those who had none. He worked with determination, humility, and a strong sense of responsibility.

Stating that his passing leaves a void, the DPC mourned the loss of a respected colleague and expressed condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones.
Meanwhile, in a condolence message, the NPCC stated that Imna Longchar was a dedicated and fearless journalist who upheld the highest standards of ethical reporting.
Stating that his contributions to journalism, particularly in bridging narratives between Nagaland and the wider North East, will be remembered with deep respect and admiration, the NPCC conveyed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends, and media colleagues.
