The Department of Water Resources held its second training on Service and Accounts Matter for the officers & ministerial staff of Mokokchung, Tuensang, Mon, Kiphire, Zunheboto, Phek, Jalukie, Wokha and Longleng Division.
The training will be held from 1 to 3 November in the Chief Engineer office, Water Resources Department, Kohima.
Opening remarks were given by Er. K. Hutoi Sema, Superintending Engineer, wherein he exhorted the participants to take this training programme as an opportunity to clear all their doubts, with regard to office procedure.
He also exhorted the participants to enhance knowledge and skills of employees while providing information and instruction on how to better, perform specific task.
The resource persons for the first day were, Andreas Ezung, Under Secretary, Department of Economics & Statistic, Khinyi Woch, Retired Senior Accounts Officer, Treasuries & Accounts Department.
Ezung’s sessions included, Government Servant Conduct Rule 1968, Filing System, Noting & Drafting and Maintenance of Service book, Personal File, APAR.
The sessions on Pay & Allowances and Maintenance of cash book and Preparation of Bills & Maintenance of vouchers were conducted by Khinyi Woch.
Er Wapangnaro Imchen, Executive Engineer, who chaired the program informed the house that the Department has been conducting such trainings for the past 3 years and it has brought immense benefits to the officers and staff in performing their duties as government servants effectively.
