In a significant push to enhance public safety, traffic discipline, and surveillance in the district, the Phek Police, under the leadership of Superintendent of Police, Dr Pritpal Kaur, IPS, has launched Project RAKSHAK-2, a multi-pronged initiative aimed at securing public spaces through technology, awareness, and coordinated civic participation.
The initiative includes installation and monitoring of CCTVs in all Phek town; installation of 60 road dividers at required roads and junctions; regular seminars on traffic rules and regulations for drivers and passengers; and coordinated efforts with district administration, transport department and NGOs.
The installation of road dividers was successfully carried out under the supervision of SDPO Phek and OC Phek PS, with active participation from PTCSU President and PTYSU team.

The SP informed that more CCTVs would be covered by Phek Police in collaboration with Chamber of Commerce while more CCTVs and road dividers would be installed at Pfutsero in the next phase.
The SP further said this would lead to prevention of road accidents, crime investigation and timely saving of lives.
