Driven by a shared concern for public welfare, members of a local WhatsApp community in Wokha joined hands to temporarily mend the collapsed road leading to the District Hospital—a stretch that had remained in disrepair for five months, hampering access for patients and emergency vehicles.
In an effort to restore access to the hospital, particularly for emergency and essential services, the group voluntarily procured steel and fabricated a temporary passage measuring 20 by 7 feet. The structure is intended to facilitate the movement of light vehicles to and from the hospital premises.

Sources informed that the Department of Urban Development has already sanctioned the road stretch from Wokha Police Point to the District Hospital. However, construction work has been delayed due to the ongoing monsoon season. Contractors have reportedly stated that repair and construction activities will commence only once the rains subside and conditions improve.
