The 2nd Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) meeting of MGM College for the academic year was successfully held on August 23 at the College Auditorium. The meeting, chaired by PTA President, Thungbeni, witnessed the active participation of Principal Dr RK Behera, Administrator Fr George, faculty members, parents, and student representatives. The session commenced with a warm welcome address by General Secretary Benjamin, who emphasized the purpose and importance of collaborative efforts between parents and teachers.
Principal Dr. Behera presented a comprehensive report on the academic progress of the institution, extracurricular achievements, and upcoming initiatives aimed at student growth and development. Administrator Fr. George emphasized the importance of academic excellence, highlighting that strong discipline and consistent academic performance require the active collaboration of parents, students, and faculty.
Faculty members further elaborated on classroom engagement, performance monitoring strategies, and mentorship initiatives being implemented for the benefit of students. Parents contributed significantly to the deliberations by offering constructive suggestions and raising key concerns related to curriculum load, examination schedules, and infrastructural requirements.

A fruitful discussion was held on enhancing the quality education and strengthening student discipline. The PTA body also reviewed the action points from the 1st PTA meeting, acknowledging the progress made while approving new proposals for further strengthening student support services.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by President, Thungbeni, who appreciated the collective spirit of cooperation and reaffirmed the PTA’s commitment to ensuring the holistic development of students through active partnership among parents, teachers, and the management.
