The monthly meeting of the Peren District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held on 7 November at DC’s Conference Hall, Peren under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Peren and Vice Chairman DPDB, Vineet Kumar, IAS.

Presiding the meeting, the DC requested the district HoDs present to ensure that all the employees under their respective Departments get their registration done under Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) at the earliest.

He also asked the departments that have not submitted the requisite information and report regarding District Skill Development Plan to submit them within this month itself.

Further, he informed the members that the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) will be conducting the annual Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) on the 15 & 16 of November to test the capability of the State to respond and manage any mega-disaster. In this regard, he appealed to extend their sincere support and make the programme a success.

On the agenda for publicity of various Departmental activities, DC urged the departmental heads to promptly forward their activities in the DPDB WhatsApp group or share to DPRO Peren to ensure that different departmental activities are reflected in different news agencies.

The house also approved the tentative dates (24 -25 November) proposed by the Sub-committee to conduct Inter-Departmental Tournament at Indoor Stadium, Jalukie which will include events such as badminton, carom & penalty shoot-out.

The DC also reiterated several complaints have been received from the public regarding the absence of Officers and for which the DC warned them to be present at the station to ensure the smooth functioning of the Office as well as to cater to the needs of the common public.

In the meeting, Senior Treatment Supervisor, Christy from the Medical Department gave a detailed presentation on the Nikshay Mitra Scheme which is an initiative of the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), while the People’s Plan Campaign (PPC) 2022 for Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) for the Financial Year 2023-2024 was also highlighted by PD, Moa Sangtam.
