Workshop on PMFME organised for entrepreneurs interested in the food processing trade

A workshop on Prime Minister Formalisation of Micro Food Processing Enterprises (PMFME) was conducted at CKS Hall Tuensang on 10 November.

The workshop was conducted by the Department of Industries and Commerce Tuensang and the special guest for the programme was ADC Tuensang, Thugchanbemo Tungoe.

Speaking at the programme, Tungoe advised all the attendees to be serious in such workshops on government schemes since such schemes are beneficial and one can make a living out of them.

One can learn about banking along with other governmental schemes which would be resourceful for the beneficiaries, he added.

“We Nagas tend not to be serious in such training and workshop; try to be free in asking quarry in doubts so that good information can be collected,” Tungoe added.

Khumchopi Sangtam highlighted the food processing trade for entrepreneurs. He also mentioned the government’s programme on One District One Product (ODOP) and also highlighted how to apply for the PMFME by individuals and SHGs.

The second session was held with PMFME aims and objectives by Longalong K, District Resource Person Tuensang. Sucheli Sangtam District Resource Person, shared on ODOP for Tuensang district by the Department of Agriculture.

Chief Manager SBI Tuensang shared on banking modalities and process of application. Dohanba, District Resource Person, Tuensang spoke on the support to food processing and eligibility criteria followed by discussion hour.

V Vikheto Yeptho GM DIC Tuensang gave the welcome address on the programme while Trongtila Sangtam District Resource Person, Tuensang, chaired the programme.
