AKM appreciates Mokokchung traffic police, urges responsible driving Mokokchung

The Ao Students’ Conference (AKM) has expressed appreciation to the Mokokchung traffic police for carrying out liquor tests on drivers of passenger vehicles as part of efforts to ensure road safety.

In a press release issued on December 16, the AKM acknowledged the traffic police for their role in promoting passenger safety and in preventing incidents related to drunk driving. The organisation stated that such initiatives reflect a commitment towards safeguarding the public, especially during the festive season.

The AKM also appealed to all travellers to follow responsible driving practices and refrain from rash driving, noting that unsafe driving poses risks not only to individuals but also to other road users.

Additionally, the conference urged operators of passenger vehicles to maintain proper standards related to seating comfort and cleanliness. It emphasized that well-maintained seats and a hygienic environment are essential for ensuring a satisfactory travel experience and contribute positively to the overall image of public transport services.
