The notice is hereby given that:
The election is to be held of a member to Ward no. 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, 15, 17 and 18 of the Mokokcung Town Municipality with Ward No. 1, 4, 7, 10, 13 and 16 reserved for women.
The Nominations Papers may be delivered by the candidate or his proposer to the Office Chamber of the Additional Deputy commissioner, Mokokcung, or to: SDO (C) Mokokcung, Abeinuo Jasmine Ashai & Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) Mokokcung
Municipal Council and EAC, Kobulong, Seyievilie Pfukri and Assistant Returning Officer (ARO) Mokokcung Municipal Council at the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Mokokcung between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM on any day (other than public holiday) from 7th June 2024 (Friday) onwards but not later than 11th June 2024 (Tuesday) upto 3:00 PM.
Forms of Nominations Papers may be obtained at the place and times aforesaid.
The nomination papers will be taken up for scrutiny on 13th June 2024 (Thursday) at the office of the ADC (Hq) & RO Mokokcung Municipal Council from 11:00 AM onwards.
Notice of withdrawal of candidature may be delivered by a candidate or his proposer or his election agent (who has been authorised in writing by the candidate to deliver it) to the office specified in paragraph (2) above before 3:00 PM on 18th June 2024 (Tuesday).
In the event of the election being contested the poll will be taken on 26th June, 2024 (Wednesday) between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM at the place of Mokokcung.
